Honed Granite is a popular choice for all fireplaces; solid fuel, gas or electric. Honed Granite has a matt finish, is highly durable and heat resistant. It is the perfect choice particularly beneath solid fuel fires as it is scratch resistant and easy to clean.
Our 15" deep flat hearths are supplied with 3 finished sides (2 short and 1 long) and a small (approx. 2mm) chamfer to take the sharpness off the top edges. All flat hearths are 20mm thick as standard. 30mm is available at request with our showroom.
Honed Granite is a natural material. Therefore all customers must be aware of the possibility of slight variations in blacks/dark grey tones throughout the stone, however the smooth texture will be consistent. Compared to other natural materials, honed granite is, however, one of the more predictable when purchasing.
