Honed Granite is a popular choice for all fireplaces; solid fuel, gas or electric. Honed Granite has a matt finish, is highly durable and heat resistant. It is the perfect choice particularly around solid fuel fires a requires only a damp cloth to wipe clean.
Our standard 37"x37" back panels are 20mm thick and come with no finished edges, with the intention of these being hidden behind the frame of your chosen fire and tucked behind your mantelpiece. If the outside edges of your back panel are going to be on show, please contact our showroom to order yours with 'outside polished edges'. The fire cut out is suitable for standard 16"x22" fires.
Honed Granite is a natural material. Therefore all customers must be aware of the possibility of slight variations in blacks/dark grey tones throughout the stone, however the smooth texture will be consistent. Compared to other natural materials, honed granite is, however, one of the more predictable when purchasing.
Please call our showroom or fill out our contact form to get a quote for bespoke back panel sizes.
