Honed Granite is a popular choice for all fireplaces; solid fuel, gas or electric. Honed Granite has a matt finish, is highly durable and heat resistant. It is the perfect choice particularly beneath solid fuel fires as it is scratch resistant and easy to clean.
The boxed and lipped style is great for all floor types, but particularly thick pile carpets as the boxed section adds stylish height and allows for the hearth to often sit with a 'floating' effect when your carpet is fitted under overhang. However it looks just as aesthetic when installed alongside solid flooring where the style can be seen and appreciated.
Honed Granite is a natural material. Therefore all customers must be aware of the possibility of slight variations in blacks/dark grey tones throughout the stone, however the smooth texture will be consistent. Compared to other natural materials, honed granite is, however, one of the more predictable when purchasing.

We recommend collection for all of our natural stone hearths and back panels due to their fragile nature however delivery is available.
